is proud to be
THESPIAN TROUPE #7289!


Throughout the year, we participate in local, regional, state, and national Thespian events. The following calendar gives an idea about the main events each month. We also hold bi-weekly Drama Club/Thespian meetings.


Tentative Thespian Calendar

September: Improv Festival (groups receive a prompt and have an hour to create a short scene to perform)

October: TOTS-EAT (Trick-or-Treat-So-Kids-Can-Eat service event to collect canned food for the Oregon Food Bank)

November: See a production at our sister Thespian school, Westview HS in Beaverton

December: See a local HS production

January: ACTing Showcase, showcasing Regional competition pieces and RUCKUS improv team

February: NW Regional Acting Competition (students compete in a variety of categories from novice to advanced monologues, scenes, pantomime, and musical theatre)

March: Theatre In Our Schools Month (sponsored by Educational Theatre Association, celebrating educational theatre; events vary)

April: State Conference (top 10% from Regionals compete at State; workshops available to all students who wish to attend)

May: Thespian Induction (invitation-only event to induct students who have earned membership into the society)

June: International Thespian Festival at University of Nebraska at Lincoln (top 10% State participants who move onto nationals)
